A quick report.
Went back down to Chesil yesterday same rigs etc as previous report.
Fished a different bit of beach dog walkers make my usual mark unfishable at weekends, there are 1000s of them.
Luckily I took a rod I had just picked up with me, along with my contis.
The fish were all at extreme range (for me) (@Dexy you are going to be in your element Friday) literally nothing to the short rods.
I managed 6 plaice and a dab..... all at my max range with a very fast rod.
There may have been a reasons for that the wind was in the east and there seemed to be something in the water like may rot the lines were coming back dripping in a mud like substance.
I wasted a lot of time because I fished a ray bait on the long rod (no rays or bites) and then switched it to a plaice rig when I realised my mate was getting further than me and had had a couple.
I had hoped my long range gear would not be needed for a few months but I am going to need it I reckon.
The other issue here of course is that we cant all get the distance so a change of species or venue if we go out with the shorter casters.
Hopefully the easterly pushed them off and next session will find them back in a bit.
