I believe the Squidder was considered the first ‘proper’ shore multiplier?I took a punt on one several years ago at a boat jumble and although it’s in good nick, I found it quite poor for fishing, albeit I only took it wrassing. It was slow to retrieve and the drag slipped quite a bit, although I realise that it may simply need new drag washers.Did look at what it was worth but a scout around the net suggested not much more than I paid for it, I saw similar exayfir about £40 last time I looked.Well made though. I guess at the time it would have been something of a revelation for anglers used to crappier reels?
