So arfter the slow trip on the boat yesterday hopes were high of a fish a Chuck sesh at chisel myself @Ollieollie @BlackLugsMatter and @Jonnylongshanks met up at Westbay tackle grabbed a few bits i orso picked up a pair of new sticks for @chesilpete ???. We then headed up to cogden car park and we’re later joined by Pete and @Tournamag we set up on the mark and my first cast produced a double shot of a tub and a mackerel which was perfect cause u made the rig to target gurnard and mackerel for the comp next week and it seemed to work ?then @Chalton ( who is Exactly how I imagined him to be in a good way?) Rocked up with his mate .well the fishing was dire really dire even tho we had some cracking bait Pete had somehow managed to source every single available fresh black in the country ?we just couldn’t find and fish . The sight of a shoal of macs got us a bit of excitement and a few of us featherd a load up for later . Ash caught his first tub Chalton had one aswell I think and so did Ollie I had another tub and a few macs . Jon got some casting advice from Pete and made a vast improvement and we all got shit mixed by spider crabs ??. Then chalton and the midlanders decideed to call it a day look forward to meeting up again soon beys ? I stayed on with Pete chaltons mate I never did get his name Gary and another mate of petes called Ben we fished into the night Dodgeing Harvey showers and move ing shelters cause of wind changeing direction ??Around half nine a strappy looking bite on my bass ing rod got left until I herd the drag go a few minutes later a lovely 3 lb bass graced the shore ?arfter a couple of straps and pout and a dying head light I decide to leave while yapping to Pete and the guys we noticed petes rod acting strange then ten mins later it arched right over and arfter a spirted fight a butey of an UNDULATE ray graced the Shore line at exactly the same time Ben landed cracker of a bass ( looks like I packed up to soon ??) the undulate was 9lb 10 the bass was 6 lb 12 sure Pete will add the fish porn pics later and that was my lot be interesting to hear if they had much else any way cracking weekend with the tsf lads shame about the lack of fish but that’s why it’s not called catching cheers ma butey s Ps my van not gay you brummie twats ??‍♀️
