Where is Cogden ???

Where is Cogden ???
DT6 4RL Its west Chesil.
If conditions are flat calm then realistic target will be plaice in daylight and sole in the evening.
You will probably need blacks n rag.
Loop rigs and multi hook paternosters with size 1s will be how we set up, maybe chucking a big bait in the gutter when theres some tide pull.
Should be a few flats around the numbers are building up.
Spiders are peeling now so hopefully they will be less of a problem although still expect a few.
Expect to finish about midnight.
We may go left or right, I will get out and have a recce on the Thursday.
Anyone arriving late happy to pass my phone number by PM so you can find us.
Expect a bit of a walk but nothing too savage.
And yes the 21st!!!! not the 19th.

Ideal me and Bert will be in attendance hopefully along with some of our brummie pals looking forward to it ???
Teds looking forwards to explaining to Bert the finer points of retrieving the dog fish that was not put back properly...... and how to hold the arse end of a strap eel while your dad gets the hook out of the other end!.

Thought it might be a good idea to bump this.
HW is 19.22
Weather overcast with some sunny bits 20% chance of rain.
Wind force 3 south wester maybe 4 later.
Wave height will be under 1m.
It looks like a bit of a flatty bash and a social.
Gray n I will go down for a recce in the week, we are going to look to the right of the bottom right hand path hoping the clay beds are a little closer to make it a bit easier for everyone.
The sole tourno and I had were all on our longest casts, it looks like the clay beds are partially covered with shingle to the East so hoping to find them exposed to the west and close enough for everyone to be able to get on them with a moderate cast.
I expect to fish with blacks n loops or 3 hook pats.
This weekend the pin whiting have turned up and the spiders have backed off.
The mackerel should be there if you fancy a pop at a bass or ray.
We will spread out and try and hold a bit of beach for people arriving later.
The pay and display machine has been out of order for a couple of months.
I have not bought a ticket for 5 years and will not support the NT but its up to you but they cannot fine you.
I will post back on this thread Friday evening what the final location is and any changes.
Bait........
Remember its smaller tides this week if your coming get your orders in for blacks, Aaron at Abbotsbury has a limited number of wraps coming in so order early to make sure.
West Bay Angling Centre had some cracking rag n blow in last week if your coming in from the West.
