I’m looking at buying one of these and putting the pics side by side it would appear they are the same blanks. Does anyone know any different? There’s only ten quid difference with the price.

Same blank, different decal ?

Ian.

That’s what I was thinking. Sea Angling Adventures have been using them in Tenerife, but he’s said he’s not doing a comparison. This makes me think they’re the same. I love my Fox Trek, but it’s had a proper beating over many years and I can’t help but think it’ll give up at some point.

I’m going to hold back, as in the second video, one of the xenon’s split and the other xenon kept spinning at the same joint. If the Akios is the same blank, then I can expect it to do exactly the same. They’ve sent an email to Tronix and I’ll be interested in the reply. It’s pretty shit for rods that have only been used twice, especially when you consider the hammering my Fox Trek six piece rod has had.

What about asking century to make what you want?
Zziplex used to do it.
