Set off at low tide this morning to dig a few lug worm and had a couple of pounds in an hour but crap digging with my trusty old fork.
Headed out this aft after a catch up with a couple of local lads then headed up to my favourite wrassin’ hole.
Stunning rock fishing mark it must be said1D0AD032-8850-4110-94CB-334FFA709CDF.jpeg
Trouble was it’s a very popular place to visit up a single track road with no clue townies and me in a hulkin gert campervan(dropped the women off at the last village and they walked back the coastal path to base camp )meet a few idiots and got called many obscenities by some for my mode of transport but congratulated me one my reversing skills by a local tractor driver with a mahoosive trailer of taters on board until we got a passing place.
Parked up and out me bucket of worms, coop carrier bag with a box of bits and some cloths.Got out my trusty agility flattie rod with a ninja 4000 loaded with 12 lb mono and a float rig with 1/0 Sakura manta Aberdeens.
Two lads fishing already with two hours til high tide.
Got to my mark, baited up with the float set at about five feet and the first six casts got six of these charmers!072DC591-5FD6-4E5D-8CF3-82046EB5A8E6.jpeg
Set the float at about nine feet, cast out and a lovely sliding take!ooo ooo wrasse?
Six worms later(how come the critters can suck a worm off the hook in the blink of an eye?)hooked one and landed?Blank off?
Many worms later and non stop they keep coming!a take a cast but probably had thirty which has tired me auld arms.
Knocked off at high tide at five to meet a couple of lads at the local pub.
Two lads were fishing not far from me so have chat on the way off and it turned out for being there for hours useing beachcaster on had one mackerel between them and were stopping for two hours down!
Back to base and waded the gear down, few pints and sis had cooked pasta?with veg out the polytunnel in spicey tomato sauce and was very nice?Found a haunt where there is a biggie judging by the takes but bit the hook off every time!twat!?
Only managed a few pictures as it was hectic?
All fish released a swam off strongly?
Great afternoons fun in my favourite place, could move here tomorrow ??
