............ Seen me get out on another two occasions, the first one was tough and I won’t lie as I’d love to say it was some form of angling skill that eventually beat the blank but it wasn’t ?
I duffed a cast as I was getting increasingly fed up, a few chosen words later and a couple of turns of the handle saw a very ambitious bass take ? and it was blank beaten. If only I’d known they were into duff casting I’d have tried that more during the session ?
Onto session no2.......... and having planned all day on a particular spot I completely went against it, however half a dozen casts into the night’s fishing and my late change of heart had paid of as a lovely conditioned fish lay in the shallows.
Believing this was a sign of things to come it wasn’t for another couple of hours and darkness before any further interest was paid to my lure with three coming to the patch 125 in nacre in quick succession.
Decided whilst the fish were feeding to try a lure I’ve had since last August but yet to wet in the form of the Axia Vulcan, it’s a Vulture copy by Hto basically and though I’m not a lover of copies trying to get an original in white had proved difficult at the time I purchased these. Anyway first 2 casts with the lure found another couple of bass and a third a short while later. ?
Nothing big but it proved the lure was casting well enough to get out to the feeding fish.
Shortly after midnight I found another and slightly better fish falling to the big patch in the yellow colour.
It was to be my last cast too as I decided to leave after this one, difficult when you know the fish are feeding but with the height of the tide it was either then or fish on into the small hours and unfortunately the gaffer at home had plans for me the following morning ?
Little clip of one going back. ???
