So yestaday we fished sour club comp at ferrybrige 16 anglers headed there most inc my crew headed for the bird sactury a few head off the end of the car park one headed to the ray banks. We got to the top of the bank and we’re greeted with hundreds of anglers shoulder ti shoulder but managed to get 4 of us into a space just left of the Adelaide wreak I use ally fish a lot further on but whould have had to walk miles to find a space big enough fishing was slow for me but my mate 5 yards to my right bagged up cod then a 1 lb 9 oz bream then a lull as the tide ripped thru 6 oz was getting dragged and didn’t see anything caught dureing this period then my mate 5 yards to my left snagged two nice Macs then a nice red mullet I was blanking and getting pissy then my mate to my left snagged a nice trigger I called. Him a twat ??Then had a brace of macs points on the board then the guy to my right had a tub then my mate to left had a cracking red gurnard 15 oz then my mate to my right got smashed by a 2 lb 2 oz taites shad but I laughed as I explained he chouldnt weigh it in cause it was protected gutted he chucked it back ??? then I sorted my shit out first i had a nice red gurnard of 15 oz then a red mullet then my mate to my second left had a pipe fish that was wrapped round his trace ?? Then he had a cracking 1 lb scad then I had a brace of big scad 14 oz and 13 oz then my mate to my left had a 1 lb 12 oz pollock then we had a stunning sunset then pout dogs tried for bass and rays but nowt 9 pm was end of comp . Back at weigh in we worked out the club had 20 species that comp inc sea trout couches bream smalleye ray and gar to go along with evething else altho I felt I had under performed my decent gurnard and two near specimen scad kept my high in the points best fish of the night was a 1 lb + ted gurnard with a 1 lb 8 oz pout and 1 lb scad takeing 2 nd and 3 rd then guy who went on the ray bank won £140 cause the smalleye was the pool fish and hadn’t been caught fir 8 months ??.so an amazing session with amazing stamp of fish but I was only 10 pm we had blacks and rag and low tide was at 11.45 feck it arfter a dominos pizza we headed to cogden and my mate had a sole first cast I had 3 inc my fist double hook up but the ray banks lad absolutely smashed it with 6 1 lb + fish inc a 1.10 and a1.5 on sane trace I snagged a cod but buy 3 am it had slowed up so we headed home wot an amazing days fishing f don’t know another beach in the country we’re you chould bag up in that many quality fish chisel has been awesome this year ????I shattered cheers ma butes
