Thanks for the advice,so it’s 10/12foot beach caster.
Do the tides at Severn beach always cover the steps,is it never possible to fish beach/ rock marks?

Well,thanks for the opinion Valleyboy.It moved me to do some research.I found that there are quite a number of very keen anglers who spin with sea gear all over the country,which includes the Bristol Channel with as much success for bass etc as any other type of baits,especially the Mepps Aglia Flying C.
It has been discovered that fish find the baits offered,bysight, even in densely coloured water,as well as smell.
Please don’t take this as a smartarse answer,it’s just two mates chatting.ATB & tight lines….The rod.
