So I have been keeping rag alive since last Saturday, and yesterday I could see it was on its last legs , so not bad kept it alive for 6 days .
I had been watching the weather like a hawk for the last few days , bob was away sunning himself in cornwall so I was by myself .
Thursday was looking reasonable for wind and rain, so I watched the weather all day and then about 5pm I decided to go the wind had dropped to dead calm ???.
Rain was forecast about 9pm so 5.30 pm I set off for a 20minute drive through the rush hour traffic , I got there and after a minutes walk I was ready to fish , 2 rods one with worms and a big 6/0 hook for conger on the other . Before the big bait was out I had a bite on the worm a nice chunky pout I had about a dozen chunky pout in the end , I got the conger rod out changed the bait every 20 minutes or so , not a bit all evening on that , at about 8.30 I lost my second lot of gear and decided to pack that rod away , I could feel spits of rain now so I packed up the second rod , I was just about finished putting my gear in the car when the rain arrived good and proper ,
it had only been a couple of hours fishing but it was dead calm and warm , a really enjoyable couple of hours ,

Well done for getting out John! I didn't think those worms would get wasted! Good report and a nice Pouty photo! (y)(y)

Shame that the snakes did not put in an appearance
