I bought some Chinese knock off black minnows which give the casting weight but the action of the Eddystone still is as good if not better and the heavy float just gets it out there. Be interesting to see how these black minnow fish the good thing is they are sort of weedless so snagging should not be a problem if the bottom is the place to go.
