Had some worm left over from my Friday night session so decided to head out Sunday afternoon. A look at the weather forecast and I decided to fish the afternoon high down, at selsey east beach. Arrived bang on high tide and decided to fish by the skate park (an area I'd not fished before at selsey). One rod 2 hooked clipped for bream and the other with bluey/squid wrap. Cast out the bream rod first, baiting the second rod, look up and first rod is just slack line. Start winding to find a 27cm bream is the culprit. A good start. Both rods were constantly rattling from the first cast to my last cast. Was missing a fair few bites so decided to close the gape on the bream rig. Next cast resulted in a double shot of bream 30cm and 31cm. The big bait was being stripped bare in minutes so decided to just fish one rod as my bait was wearing thin. In all I had 12 bream, biggest 31cm down to 15cm. Half lbs of rag', 4 large squid, 1 bluey and 2 wraps of frozen black were gone in just over 2hrs.

Well done, target species achieved.

I fished there Weds…it’s a good area, lots of fish get in there to feed on the scraps that get thrown in there from the fish and crab processing place…..you may of seen lots of crab shells on the beach. I had my Ray on Mack and squid

Did you catch your Ray at the top of the tide may I ask?
Yes I've seen the crab shells inbetween one set of groins. There must have been hundreds of bream there yesterday, sometimes the rod wasn't even in the rest and I could feel the bites. Like piranhas they were and to make it even better, no weed at all.

I had exactly the same with the constant bream bites…..the Ray came an hour before high tide.
