Fished the above venue from 16 15 to 21 45one rod with frozen black lug size 2 hooks one rod with 3/0up and over pulley pennels with squid bluey and Sand eel only had two whiting one was 35cm my mate only had one tiny whiting where's all the fish gone still nice to be out

Tough session at least a couple of ‘tings showed up for you. I think we are still in the limbo state where the change of season hasn’t quite happened yet, it’s been quite mild down south hasn’t it? Colder weather this week so we will see what the brings!

At least you caught mate, ??the fishing in the solent ,if that's where you went,has gone a bit quiet, there's not a lot being caught this side of the solent

Been fishing the Solent since the mid eighties and this year been the worst

Agree mate, but good effort and saved the blank. I think that area always seems to fish better later on at night. Probably wrong

Not this year not for me anyway had place sole blondes small eyed undulate thornbacks turbot from there

Had one really good session while on holiday with the family at doniford bay Conger of 11lbs and bass of 8 lbs 15 done 60 trips this year

Try some new marks maybe? Always fun looking at new ground anyway

Im sure the fishing in Portsmouth is being affected by the southern water fiasco concerning dumping raw sewage in the Solent and surrounding harbours on seemingly a weekly basis despite being fined 90million quid.

I fished southbourne last night. Basically same set ups and baits as you, had 5 Whiting, 1 of keeper size and the others all pin whiting. I fished near the bistro, was a good swell/surf so thought it might have fished better. Still like you say, good to get out.
