Thats not good :(

That's my cue to try for one! Tried a month ago, but conditions were poor. Glad it did not hurt for long.

Fishing or paddling?

Never been stung, and I can't remember ever seeing one, thankfully!

We used to pick up a weaver in a cloth after landing it, touch wood have never been stung (y)

My preferred unhooking technique is to stamp repeatedly on small nasty bstard until it looks like wallpaper paste then gently lift hook out.
Its even worse for dogs...... it really hurts them my old dog was in feckin agony for a day...... kill the bstards and bury them.

Or put them on your mates seat box if hes really peed you off.

When I used to go push netting for shrimps I used to have a pair of long nose pliers in my pocket. Kept my fingers well out of the way. Didn't net many but the last thing you want is getting stung right out at low tide at Dungeness Lifeboat Station, it's a long way back.

I must get my net out and check it over, Colwell Bay looks like it might be worth a go.
