South East Smoothie screamers

Lovely warm evening ,tide was about 830pm... westerly wind pushing left to right along the shore. Water was clear ish .
Usually waiting till darkness for action but gladly for once it started early first bite around 7pm ? nice to see what your doing for a change in daylight.
2 rods one on squid one on crab . Weed was annoying but fishable .

Ended up with 6 hounds and a dogfish .. my friend had 2 rays and a hound.

Some real fighters amongst them proper bites and screaming runs once hooked . Couple doubles .
Not another angler in sight either!! No secret spot but isn't fished as often as the popular busy spots , so iv cropped the photos anyway so they prob look a bit shit lol.

Nice size hounds, well done. I guess there's no point asking what rig, what size hooks, how far casting, which was the more successful bait and what you had for breakfast etc ?.

Hiya cheers and there's not much detail is there lol ... was using pulley rigs of around 4 foot on both rods . My friend was using a running rig nd had 2 rays and a hound on that . Single size 4/0 j hooks and a decent chuck realistically going between 80 and 110 yards . Hardly any missed bites mostly hooking themselves instantly . Crab took 4 and squid 2 for me . Not sure what mate had his on probably crab and squid wraps I saw him making at one point.
