South Coast Shoreham

After a long break away from fishing decided to try Shoreham today not ideal conditions as water was a bit lumpy and coloured fished from 12 till 5 30 managed 2 one of 28 and one of 22cm

I was there myself and managed 3 plaice in the end, all roughly the same size as yours.

Well done. After several years of excellent plaice fishing Eastbourne through to Shoreham, both last year and this year so far have seen fewer and smaller fish. Same for the boats too. May be things will pick up as it starts to warm up a bit.

Good that you’re back on the beach and managed a couple of fish to greet your return. Can’t summon up the enthusiasm yet to venture down to one of the local beaches, given that the general stamp of fish is so small. Don’t usually bother to keep them this time of the year anyway, but do like to feel a bit of resistance from the better fish, which have been sadly absent for the last two years - echoing Nigel’s post.
