Shore fishing south scotland.

Hi Brian
I have no ideas regarding loch Ryan only boat fished it forty years ago.
I presume you are asking about Wigtown bay, I havn't beach fished it myself but I know people who do well from the shore
Walking from Garlieston past the school right round. There are some well known Mark's and I think one is called castle rock by Eggerness.
I will call a friend in the next couple of days and try and get more information as he often fishes round there.

If I remember correctly the wig Bay is just North of stranraer. There is a wee picnic area as you leave the road then a long rough track down to a spit. There is an old concrete lookout or something at the end of it.
I couldn't help as I only fished Loch Ryan once about 30 odd years ago. I think we were in a comp. I was somewhere North of leswalt on the rocks fishing for conger. All I really remember was that the ferry wash was a pita.
No way I could find my way back there now.
