Seems like the opinion is to clean the grease out. It will certainly speed up the spool... it was spinning fasted with the corroded bearing in only it was like it had rocks in it instead of ball bearings! I will give them a wash out with some solvent tomorrow and relube with oil I have some light sewing machine oil which should work well or there is good old three in one?
