Personally I’d clean the grease out with lighter fluid then relube with either a thicker (more forgiving) reel lube. Yellow rocket fuel? I forget which is which.
Or I’ve found 3 in 1 is quite forgiving for us more cackhanded casters!
The reel experts might disagree with that!

Definitely want that grease out imo though
