Shetlands North of the North

Not been on in a while but here is the latest updates on some fun fishing to fill the freezer..
I left the midlands and headed up to Northallerton to join the rest of the party I was fishing with..
We then set off to Aberdeen to catch the over night ferry to Lerwick..
14hrs later we were the ferry docked and a further 2hrs and another island jumping ferry we were finally in Cullivole..
Not sure what to expect as my biggest cod to date was like a pound of an oz bigger..


By 11am we were fishing
First drop resulted in a PB cod of 17lb whoop whoop whoop ..


2nd drop the cod just got bigger
23lb and biggest of the day


The day just kept getting better with cod after cod
Followed by the odd haddock or 2

Day 2 we hit the same area due to the weather and I hit another PB with a 6.5lb haddock

And more cod
Day 3 the wind had died and we managed to get to the wrecks..
Another PB broke with a 25lb ling

Unfortunately the post only allows me 10 pics
But what an absolute fantastic trip with 3 days in some of the roughest water I’ve ever fished in..

I was lucky that a group I knew going back up there had a guy drop out.. quick call to my boss to ask if I could get another week off work.. to find he was on holiday himself ..
So off I went lol
