Got here at 7-30.Morgan and I fishing from the beach, Jim on the paddleboard.1st cast, plump little plaice that went back safely. Pic later. Fry up soon.

That was the only fish from the beach, Jim had some small wrasse over the rocks on lures. Fry up on the beach, tea and coffee, cold drinks. Packed up around 2 and headed for the cliff beer garden for a well deserved pint and eye up the top less nubile young things.

Tackle was my old pair of PK supercasts and Shimano 8000 GTs against the cheapo Tronix Pro rods and Oceanix reels. I can't fault either set up especially for the price of the Tronix stuff, £180 for rods and reels 3 years ago.

This was less about fishing, more about a stress free, relaxing day with my boys. The little plaice was a bonus, lightly hooked and went back strongly within a minute.

They were bloody busy today!
