Well done on the bass mate

Well done getting a few tat, better than a blank. Shame there wasn't much else about but them dogs keep the time passing better than sitting there catching sod all.

Fair shout for giving it a go. I've been eyeing up Charmouth for a bash at the small eyes, but unsure of how far the tide backs up to the cliffs now? Not fished it for years. Used to be a great mark for numbers of rays rather than size but still capable of a good one up until June time.

Whouldnt fish it on a spring and defo without an escape route behind you but lad I was with had a double from there last year and his dad had 2 and a 6 lb hound an 8 lb undulate ray on same rig recons that was a strange fight?

Unlucky on the rays but well done on the bass and other bits, think at the moment you just gotta keep hitting the beaches and wait for the red letter day.

It's funny you say about the double shot! I did exactly the same last year on a nearby beach. 7lb hound on top hook, 6.2 thornie on the bottom hook! Certainly a strange fight!?. If you want some company I'm in, chuck me a pm, think I'm going to spend more time there this year.

Shame the rays did not show for you.
