Arrived with buddy Pete about 2 hours before high to be greeted by the sight of an extremely busy beach - should have expected it I suppose, but hey-ho. Walked a good distance and found a decent gap, well away from my favoured area. Not much happened for the first hour, guy to our right had a couple of small plaice, but quiet for us. Picked up a 31cm plaice on high, as did Pete. PXL_20250302_120215707.jpeg

Enthusiasm renewed, fished on, but still slow. Couple of slight pulls resulted in a 40cm plaice about 30 minutes after high. One more 28cm followed and that was it. Itch scratched, and home beckoned. Cheers for now, Bob.PXL_20250302_130108852.jpeg

Couple of decent fish in the sun Bob, nice going.
Thanks Pete, be good to catch up soon.
nice to see them coming out now , I’m of work for 12 days next week so I’m going to get my head sorted out and get some decent fishing in
Thanks Mike, just need more of this good weather and a decent sized tide.
Some decent fish well done, the extra walk done the trick.
Thanks, always good to get some time in the sun with a couple of reasonable fish.

Great report, and a nice brace of Plaice Bob! 🎣🎣👍👍

Can i ask why you have your reel seat back to front. ?(y)

Thanks T, they need to pack on a bit of weight, might be worth keeping in a month or two.

Thanks Ian. I have pretty large hands and it just enables me to get my oversized mitts comfortable.

I had a go Saturday for the spotties. Getting worms was a bit of a challenge but thanks to Tony’s Tackle I got some good worms and very helpful advice.
Anyway I only got the one as every cast after that was doggies with the odd dab and whiting. The wind had changed direction and was easterly and the water was slightly coloured so perhaps not the best conditions. 😁👍🏼

Always worth giving it a go, even if conditions not ideal - better than sitting at home wondering.
