5 6 weeks since sea fished ,
with some evening tides coinciding with a few days free i thought id have a go .

whilst getting bits and bobs from the local tackle shop Saturday I recognised the hauler stormtrooper from on here and we had a quick chat think he was heading out fishing too that night . nice to meet u dude hope you caught if reading this lol ?

sorry only 2 pictures of the trips but raining

Saturday night saw winds dropping from the big blow the whole day and night before and had my mate and I wondering if the water would be chocolate which isn't the best round here for the main target smoothies .
on arrival big shower got us soaked on the 10 minute walk to the spot ... few anglers around the closest bits so we walked on a good 400 yards away from anyone .
lovely cliff backdrop sandmartin holes and luckily we were well clear of it as landslides were visible from the last few days by the looks of it lol !!

calm wind now looking good... I set up 2 rods 1 with peeler and 1 with squid ... crab rod flew out massive cast for me probably 130yards
it had been out there about 10mins and tap tap tap more of a bassy looking bite so hit it straight away and bang hound on ...usual few runs but behaved nicely and came in a straight line all the way to beach about 7 8lbs at a guess ..
great start

about an hour passed and then my squid rod tore off line peeling from the spool and a proper battle started ... dragged me well downtide and was glad we didn't fish near any breakwaters would of been a nightmare I finally landed it about 100 yards down the beach ... thought it may of been a stinger at first!!
no pics of this one as miles away from my set up but went a bit bigger than the last probably 9 or 10.

soon after my friend landed a lump about 13 maybe even 14lbs and a pb for him..took photo on his phone I'll try get him to upload . he a member on here now but doesn't post.

that was it left about 1230am just those 3 fish was great though ????

Sunday 23rd

I'll keep this one short but we were keen to return and so set off about same time as day before 730 ish and the whole beach was empty but we still went 10 min walk up near the night before ..

had loads of weed trouble dragging us all over the place ... i had 5 dogfish in the end
and my mate had this about 9 lbs or so..cut his face off camera shy ..
