Back to BTF original post.As a beach angler for over 40 years I would say simply be cautious .Read up as much as you can on beach safety, if you are wanting to fish lures then there is a wealth of information on line and also in the written word .Water , river, stream, pond or reservoir, estuary, beach or rock marks can all be dangerous places. With common sense , a bit of gleaned local knowledge of the different conditions wherever you plan to fish ,sensible clothing and using / understanding tide tables as well for the area you plan to fish you will be as well prepared as you can be .With more experience comes better results hopefully .I wish BTF all the best .Dave
