So with things being crap in Devon , Bananas’s persuaded me to do a road trip to chesil , wow I left home 10.30 and we arrived at chesil 2.15pm , bleedy grockles and there vans everywhere, glad bob was driving .
so after picking up fresh worms from Chesil bait and tackle .
Bob said we could expect bream etc , so after a climb and a walk we got there , bob was not looking good, so had a sit down to recover, I got my first rod in the water and before my 2nd was in I got a bite ( wow) what’s that about a fish , after a brief fight I had landed a bream great stuff.About a pound .

Then I tried for a bit of fresh bait and landed one hard worked for mackerel a big lean one but fresh bait , so stopped chasing mackerel now , I think bob was still sat watching me ?.
Then as darkness arrived I got about 6 pout/ poor cod , by now bob had caught a couple of fish , only a couple ?.
I think he had a red gurnard a bream and a conger , he might have got a tiny pout as well , boy he did struggle I think the walk affected him , 504F23BB-B722-4A0A-892E-7EA2C1A07049.jpeg8E222C4B-FBC0-45C4-81DD-CBB49D0B7AF3.jpegF25C71FB-519D-4E4A-BBFD-BB6E4119AD95.jpeg

Was a good session, bar the grocks on the road and the walk up that bank, yep spent a good part of it watching john pull fish in while my rods stayed still, had a nice gurnard 2 hours after starting , then a 3lb strap just before dusk, couple a good bites after got me what i wanted, a black bream,, then it was a tiny pouting to finish off with.
Wasnt a lot come up around us, i had enough time watching up and down the beach.
Was a long day, but we had a good larf throughout and i let john catch a few fish too????

Stunning red mullet that.

Good effort chaos and at least you got a few of the more exotic species.
Take it easy on the bank Bob!

Beach looks pretty busy, was it rammed?

It was the anticipation of getting over the bank and fishing that tired me out?? that and was the furthest ive walked with a pack n rods so far, hour later me mojo was back, just left the catching part of it to come along a lot later ??.
Wasnt bad when we started but started to fill up as it got to high water, then thinned out quick as dusk came

Where’s your fish pictures then Bob

Great answer mr fish
I don’t mind the fact they fill up the beaches and seafronts. Sensible locals just avoid those areas during silly season and at least on this coast, I can always find quiet marks to fish.
It’s the rammed roads and dopey driving that gets me, when you’re trying to work, get from A to B and go about your daily life.

Sorry to go off topic John!

If you don’t like it…move ! Quite simple. I’m sick of seeing people moan about visitors to different parts of the country

We have loads of places to fish local away from the visitors, places where you only see them up the top of the cliff on the cliff path . A piece of quiet heaven

It’s not the visitors it’s the dopey feckers that can’t drive on anything but dual carriageways, brake at every bend and every time a car comes the other way.
And the mobile sheds on wheels that get driven at 25mph regardless of the road.
I don’t expect visitors to zoom around like locals but if you can’t drive on gently curving standard A roads at 50mph, (we’re not talking narrow country lanes), slowing down for the odd sharp bend, you really shouldn’t have a license imo.

If YOU don’t like it, you can always visit another part of the country.

Great session, well done ?

Yes thankfully there’s plenty of places the grockles don’t know about, or won’t bother going to.
I actually don’t mind seeing the area busy, it’s the roads that get me.
