Hi All

I am looking for a good recommendation about the best surf casting rod considering the following :

Length: 4.5 + Meter
Real Seat: Fixed Spool Reel ( PENN Spinfisher VII Long Cast 6500)
Sections : 3 Only ( must be 3 for the ease of transportation )
Casting Wight: 250+ gr. ( without the bait )

The rod will be used for pendulum style fishing … hence “ as I assume: the rod should be Stiff Rod to handle such technic of casting” ….

Now I am looking to buy online from the UK and have it shipped to my country ( we don’t have much variety of different choices when it comes to fishing rods )

when I looked online shops in the UK most of what I found have Sensitip which I think is not going to meet what I am looking for

What your recommendation? name and type of the rod? where can I buy them online?

Thank you everyone for your advice

The most powerful three piece I'm aware of in UK is the Akios AIRPOWER 435 SRS Black Edition Continental Rod 4.3m 14.5ft but even this is only rated to 225 grams and as has been said these continental style rods aren't really aimed at the pendulum caster.

What about this one :

PENN Tidal XR Solid Carbon K surfcasting rod

Just a thought and availability is scarce, but, zziplex gb3?

Sounds like your looking for a continental type rod with a power tip and not a hybrid tip, the rod you metioned would be ok depends a lot on how much you have to spend.

So, any suggestion or recommendation for any rod ? when I looked online I found another PENN rod by the name : Tidal XR 453 Twintip Rod 225g & 350g...and it was mentioned that it comes with 2 different tip sections. 1 Sensitip with a casting weight of 100-225g, and a powerful full carbon tip that can handle heavy weights up to 350g....is this one a good choice ?

Id still try and find a GB3 heavy .
