Good job everything I was expecting today was all things that would fit through the letterbox. Great service as usual from Basstastic.

OK, so the black clamping lever & nut didn't come from Basstastic and isn't fishing related either.

Just need to find something to coat the SG Surf Seekers before the paint gets chipped. The 2 Surf Seekers and the inline hooks were just under £20, free P&P.

Clear nail varnish if you don't want to go down the epoxy route we've discussed elsewhere Trampster - Sally Hanson 'Hard as Nails' if you can find it

Amazing how effective those seekers are on a steady retrieve, and how a small bass can easily get those inline singles into their gob. Personally I don't bother protecting the finish. Old favourite, battered metals are still just as effective. Unless they get a bit bent out of shape.

Thanks TW. There is a big nail products store here so will go have a look. Daughter #1 is also a nail tech, so was going to ask her if she has a spare bottle about. 👍👍

As I mentioned on another thread, the finish on the Seekers isn't as good since Pure Fishing took over Savage Gear. Also waiting for some quick links with ball bearing swivels to arrive. I learned the hard way that the Seekers rotate and can cause bad line twist after a few hours of casting.

"after a few hours of casting" o_O if I have not had an offer in about 10 minutes I'm ready for a lie down and put up the bait rod 🎣 my casting arm would be wrecked

I nearly always take a lure or Bass rod with me when bait fishing. Get the two bait rods in the water and have a few casts with the lure rod.
When I had the bad tangles & line twist, I only had a lure rod with me.

I'd give em a coat of vehicle clear-coat/lacquer, aerosols sold at any motor factors

Always carry a couple of seeker's but tend to use them as a last resort
As I've mentioned on another thread, if bait fishing, always take a lure or Bass rod too, and have a few casts with the lure rod once the baits are out. Seeker with a 3/0 inline single will usually find a Mackerel or two, either for bait or the pan later. Very rarely I do any serious lure fishing.

Yeah it's something else to do to help pass the time when there's little going on with the bait rods
