South Coast Pevensey Bay

After days of wind and rain, last night had a break in the weather , so I thought there maybe a chance.
HW was just after 2330hrs so I aimed to start fishing around 8pm. It was a reasonable spring tide too.
Setting up 2 rods, a nylon Bagnall bar with a 4ft hook length loaded with half a side of Pilchard, the other.. a short 3 hook flapper.
Bites came from the off and right through to when I packed up!
Rockling, Dogfish, a few pin Whiting and mainly Dabs.
A pleasant evening.

Well, now they have been filleted and skinned they are going in a Thai Chilli and Lime fish dish

Definitely an extended Dab season this year!
This time last year I was catching a few Plaice and the Dabs were a lot thinner on the ground.
