Hi all.
Headed out yesterday for a wrasse bash on the Dorset Coast.
I set off from Lulworth Cove and made my way around the bay, trying to avoid the grockles, until I reached the steps that took me up and away from the crowds and onto Fossil Forest.
I had a little dabble on the lure rod, managing to catch a couple of smaller ballan wrasse before I switched to the bait gear.

Using a very basic rig, using minimal rig components, demonstrated in the video below, I managed to tempt a brute of a ballan wrasse, weighing 4.6lbs! I can understand why people get addicted to wrasse fishing, this hard fighting fish made a great account for itself on light gear.

I've often wondered if I would ever beat the 4lb mark!
I left the mark just before 15:30 and made my way back to the cliff top to admire the incredible sunset!
Shame some ugly matie got in the way

As always, here's a video of my antics!
