South Coast Park shore

Just come back from Park Shore, fished couple of hours either side of high, southerly wind, bait was peeler, rag, squid, beautiful weather, no sign of hounds yet, but great to be getting out again.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be much of anything being caught. I spoke with the local pot fisherman who was mending his gear on the sea front yesterday morning. He’s not been out in weeks, waste of time and money, nothing being pulled out, even with his pots being left overnight.
That says it all really.
I did hear the SARAH was catching some Tope off the beach at Pagham, but I can’t verify this as I haven’t spoken with her since September 2021.

Don,t know whats going on with the Hounds locally this year very patchy, few showing at Hillhead/Calshot & Pennington but, notthing like it usually is at Warsash/Lee/Lepe etc.
Seen reports from North Kent & Norfolk and they are getting into them.
Good effort though as thought you might have had some, still a £5er to fish down there or you got a permit.

At least you tried. Shame nothing was happening at that lovely mark.

I di feel a lot of the fishing will kick off next month, and once the weed settles. I normally target from june onwards.

Good thing always, even though a blank, you get to know the mark, so that when you go back, its fresh as to how the water, or tide works there so when the fishing is good, your knowledge will be Sharp.

Tight lines mate

Just got to keep trying. The results will come ?

The fishing isn't much better where I am,it's very patchy, the local fishing club boats are not catching much either

Even the guy’s that do fishing for a living are not bothering to go out, say’s it all really. It’s crap currently
Maybe scale down the hook size and catch the mini species?
