There has been an oil spill off Rhyl from a pipeline between the Conwy and Douglas platforms. 79,000 litres:mad: heading to a beach near you.....
Very fortunate that the current storms may be able to dissipate much of it???
Terrible business

The continuing storms are certainly helping. The locsl council reports there is a major clean up operation in place lead by Eni UK. Folk have been asked to stay off the beaches and told to avoid touching the tarballs described as 'dangerous hydrocarbons'.
I guess we'll see what the outcome is once the weather calms down. I shudder to think how it would have turned out if it had been settled calm weather!

Has anyone heard anymore news about that oil spill ??. can't find anything about on the news sites

Thread cleaned.
Keep it on topic.
