Missed the beach after too much coarse fishing recently...did do a couple of hour blank 2 weeks ago though only wrote that on chatter board..
High tide around 9 ish meant doing a couple of hours in daylight so thought about swimmers and all the trimmings so thought rather than the inevitable nightmare I'd stop being lazy and go to a spot 10 min walk or so from the car and was lovely no one about apart from a few others fishing closer to the car park.
Lovely evening slight onshore breeze water clarity slight colour but not chocolate ..

Smoothounds target.
Baits squid crab. And some prawns which didn't produce.
Casting far as I could to start with and 1st cast was out , I set up another rod in case I wanted to use 2 depending on the weed etc and about 5 mins after casting had a small tug then screamer hound on . Good fight about 6lbs or so.
Then another in daylight slightly smaller and that was it the weed started pushing through covering the baits and I became a bit lazy tbh letting it gather haha
Tried a big bait close for a while to get a weed free bait out for longer but no bites on that .
Short session weeded out but great to get a couple screaming bites n a nice sunset .
Also got a soaking landing one in trainers wet feet and legs lol
