Well, the last day's fishing ? today of the short 3 days in Bournemouth.
Popped to the Quay last night,to look see, nobody was catching ??.
So, 11am after picking up more fresh rag worms from Christchurch Angling Centre.
Parking spaces on the front,a bonus. Reasonable prices compared to Boscome Pier.
Set up 2 rods, poxy black flies everywhere, bloody annoying all day.
Sunshine in and out, overcast, breeze, baking hot ?.
First rod, size 2 running lead,on ragworm.
Second rod, size 2 flapper up and down, both ragworm.
First catch, a ?, It took and ate the bait and hook.
Second catch, 2ft long baby eel,(Conger), made a bloody mess of the line. Put him back alive just so he can annoy someone else.
Ran out of bait!!!!
Lads doing crabbing packing away, I was given ?, Apparently, the favourite bait of the locals, no bloody good today ?
A young lady came to do crabbing, she only had smoked mackerel fillets, so I gave her some ?, I got to keep the smoked mackerel fillet.
All the rest of the day was crap, so, put on the smoked mackerel fillet, a lovely bite, struck, a 6lb+ Bass, 50cm long!!!!!
I managed to land it with a group of on lookers, in my pike landing net!!!!
Having rang my landlady to see if she would like it for dinner???
Otherwise I would have put it back.
After getting back to my digs, fish in hand, then gutted, took off the head and the find, washed it.
She prepared the skin with sea salt, stuffed the belly, wrapped up in tin foil and baked in her oven.
Dinner ?️ tonight ☺️
A very successful few days, several species off the list.

I think the sun has got to you LL. Double post a quoting your own.
Nice bit of bass fo tea though.
Nope, trying to post a picture of the small Bass, but wouldn't attach.
Landlady has prepared it, after I gutted and sorted it out.
Had our fill and there is enough fish left over for at least 5 others to enjoy and her dog ?? gets to eat the skin.
Very meaty and tasty.
