South Coast Mr Grumpy ( I don’t mean the fish)

Morning peeps
After a break from Chesil decided to give it a go for hounds last night
9.0c evening tide looked good for a chance
Went to W Bexy full of enthusiasm till I got to the car park ….nets …. from Cogden towards Abbotesbury
Go left keep walking found last marker float
Then saw another set running parallel joining the first set for Fks sake !!!
Maybe 300yds off shore
Good bit of tide running rolling lead at range
picked up a dog first cast on crab and squid
Just before dusk had a better bite
Mr grumpy comes ashore !! I do love a huss
with their attitude probably around 4lbs
Tide dropped off after high dogs and straps
I left the beach around 11pm frustrated
with the nets it must affect the fish flow in and out of the beach
Hopefully the old girl will pick up soon but
if they keep netting ?

Nice report Gray, nice huss! Shame about the nets - they seem to be getting everywhere and a lot closer in.

Do you think netters are struggling in Lyme
Bay or it’s just easy to net close to the shore at Chesil ?
I just hope it picks up soon, but I don’t think the commercial fishermen have helped
It could all kick off in June

There’s more and more netters every year charr and they will just put nets where ever they can you can practically walk on them off beer atm good effort tho bey loves a Huss
