Well, decided to hit felixstowe for a few hours last night.
Arrived at 17:00 reasonable NW breeze and cold.
Good amount of surf and a strong tide, looked promising, high tide at 21:15
Baits were frozen crab, herring and Squid.
Fished a pulley pennel rig.
Bites were limited and only two whitings appeared, average size both returned.
On the upshot had a classic big slack line bite that looked cod like but failed to connect.
Fished the flood and an hour of the ebb
Good dry night plenty of stars… shame about the fish
