I couldn't resist the opportunity to try again since the boat will be coming out of the marina at the end of the month in preparation for its summer holidays on Luce Bay.
The wind was stronger than forecast, creating a swell that made each drift just a tad uncomfortable.
I fished the last 2 hours of the incoming tide and then a couple of the ebb.
The fishing was very slow but the blank was avoided with the help of a nice pollack around 4 pounds and a smaller coalie around a pound just before it was time to head in.
I always like to try different lures but shads and sandeel imitations failed and both fish were taken with firetail worms on leadheads - the local bankers.
The weather's looking good for tomorrow
