Fished Caswell Bay Saturday evening for the last 3hrs of the flood. It's been over 10 years since I last fished here, recently moved back to the Mumbles and couldn't wait to fish the place that I caught my first fish 48 years ago!

Grew up spending many an hour here fishing with my Uncle "Jaffs" sadly not with us anymore but always here! as this is where I scattered his ashes ?

Lovely calm evening with surprisingly big swell running. Arrived around 6.30pm just as the light was fading and was fishing within 5 minutes. Always fish light here 2-3oz running ledger, fine wire Aberdeen and a few beads with Lug as bait.

Waited just over an hour for the first little rattle, that I missed :( but it was just a pleasure to be sat there enjoying the memories running around in my head. Rebaited and back out on the same spot and sure enough 20 minutes later had a really decent bite this time, no mistaking it as a Bass rattle but missed again. Must be getting slow in my old age!

Just about 30 minutes before high water another positive rattle and this time the Blank was beaten with a little Schoolie. I sure I caught this one 10 years ago but he hasn't grown much;) Anyway a quick photo and off he went. Nothing then after that so packed up and left around 10pm.

Just happy to be back with this place just on my doorstep again as the title says "Love on the Rocks"
