Well out of sheer despiration ive headed to snaggazine lane, home of the ravenous pout, first cast was @ 1800 and so far ziltch, squat, nada, one small knock on the tip thats it, have i unknowning run a hag over selling clothes pegs and luckly heather??? If i catch out ill have to google it, i cant remember what a fish looks like.

I’m rather envious of you mate, magazine lane is probably one of my all time favourite venues! I’ve had some lovely sole from the beach at the far end (not too snaggy that end, especially with lead lifts) and some cracking bass from the rocks by the pontoons down the car park end on freelined pout next to the rocks including a surprise 11lb bass. I fished there 2-3 nights a week in 2013-2014. Ragworm was the best bait for general species. Obviously a lot can change since I’ve last been there though! Good luck buddy ??

The end result was one 4 inch pout, few rattles here and there but thats about it, once the weather cools down a bit ill be chucking some fluff at Dever Springs.
I was looming at a tip tornado super sport in Pongo's but i think ill put that on the back burner, im just wondering if the Yting will turn up this year, if there are any left???

Usually a lot of whiting around when it gets cold at Lee on Solent at night. Worth keeping going with sea fishing once you catch a good fish it makes all the slow trips worthwhile.

Sea rats!
Horrible bait robing things.
