Yep I know the mullet marks and have done it but hate spinning, especially when the river is 20 yards wide at best and the retrieve lasts 10 seconds, it just does my swede in.
I probably do need to make more effort on it and try and get into it properly. One day…

Cracking bass there! Still every chance of getting decent bass from the river but I don’t live in town and prefer to fish the beaches for them.
