Back out nice and early again this morning.
Baits in the water by 5,55am and sat back watching the rod tips.
A rebait after 20 minutes then back to watching the rod tips.
Here we go.
A rod slammed over and bounced around.
I leap into action just as the rod tip settles.
At this point realising that the disturbance was caused by a Herring Gull not paying attention to what was in its flight path!
Oh well, at least it freed itself.
Another rebait and it's back to watching motionless rod tips for the final 20 minutes of the session.

A nice morning to be out, even if I did blank!

A gull intercepted my kimono lure and emptied my reel...then the hull dropped it and I should've claimed a world record cast with a komono lure...was sure I'd get a take at 150 yds...but blanked..stupid lure

Looked a nice morning to be out as well, pesky gull, shouldn't he be nicking pasties and ice-cream somewhere else.
