Well so far this month has been really pants, just the odd pouting, Pollock or strap, plus several blanks, tho did have a good short session at Torquay.
Started on a small metal lure and second cast had a Mackerel out, these have been missing since that lot of Easterlies we had, so was a welcome surprise, after several fruitless casts I swapped to a dropshot and small piece a white isome and plopped it right down the edge of the steps.
A few tiny taps but no takers, went to pull it up to check the bait and it was just heavy, thought there was a lump a seaweed on it, as it wasn't pulling at all, just heavy, but boy was I wrong, the biggest Scorpion I've ever had was just hanging on the hook, the thing went over 7 inches, thought he was a small small spined till I checked him over, but nope just a granddaddy long spined, few pics and plop, off he swam, only two fish of the session but was well chuffed with it.
