Reusable cable ties,

cable ties.jpg

Before finding these it was a matter of bits of string, velcro straps, and full hands. So useful to bundle rods, tripod and bags together for carrying and odd jobs when you're fishing; fix your rod safely to a railing when doing something else, anchoring stuff together to stop it being blown around, dozens of uses.
These were from B & M £4 for 40, 10p each, Lidl sometimes have them.

No doubt others have odds and ends that make a trip easier.
