Hinges

Certainly will, but I'd have at least got the same hole spacing to save drilling more holes,
if there's damage a strip of stainless a bit bigger than the hinge to sandwich & support the GRP,
& smother the lot with saltwater resisting grease, which looks as if it was a bit lacking before. :oops:

I'm sure we had the same hinges on our Sea Hog Commodore and had to replace them. This was years ago and can't remeber where i found them in the end. I did contact Arnie at Sea Hog but he is sadly no longer with us.

I have sent 2 emails to seahog and no reply, so searched elsewhere and got these in 316 grade stainless steel.

Arnie and the Seahog yard at Freckleton are long gone unfortunately. The Seahog brand did reappear in nearby Kirkham, but its gone quiet recently and I was told some of the moulds went to the SE coast. They made some great boats (but also a few utter dogs unfortunately) and there are still lots of Seahog Alaskas, Troopers, Sea Jeeps etc etc in this area.

Feel free to hate/ignore me being critical, but that's going to stress both the window & the frame every time you open it, because they're way out of alignment :eek:
You need to put a straight edge along the bottom hinge & move the top hinge right until the pins align, which looking at it will need a plate to extend it, and also needs a spacer plate under the top hinge to lift it up to the same height off the frame inset.

ps Google indicates both Alaska boats & Seahog are now under new ownership as [email protected] 07933688976
your calling it a seahog alaska confused me as they were totally separate companies when I knew them.

If you google alaskaboatsuk.co.uk you get the alaska side, if you google seahogboats.com you get what is clearly the same company almost identical web site using some of the same photo's but different phone no & email.
Last I knew Alaska's were made by Shetland.

Yes they were. On u tube i found a video that told you how to age ur boat from pool side moulding, mine was made 200 by seahog,as the label clearly shows.

Look up the hog father
It clearly shows the same aluminium label.
End of discussion
Calm down chap :oops::oops:
I was only saying I didn't know all these different companies had made them at different times & the present set up seems a bit confusing.

Why has this thread ended in bickering? Leave out please, there's absolutely no need and frankly it is off-putting to all. This is not WSF.
