I was just wondering how many arms/piers have been closed for fishing?
In my area:
Newhaven Harbour, west arm, Palace pier in Brighton, Shoreham West Arm unless you pay stupid money to be a member. Not sure about Eastbourne or Hastings, Deal piers or Dover harbour arms.

That stunned me! I've seen serious shyte but that photo looked like a bomb from nowhere! The surrounding sea looks iffy but where did that bugger come from????
It was the 3rd wave that did it.;)

That’s the power of the North Sea Tommo?not like that south east type stuff?Cod all ower?

All the piers in Blackpool are currently closed to angling. South and Central lost angling a while back and the club on the North pier (Springfield or of old BNFL) are still excluded AFAIK

Wasn't a cod loaded wave but I had a fish smack to the head incident on the west Loch Tarbert. It was a beautiful calm evening, I was trying my best to ignore the fact that every midge in Argyll was trying to drain me of blood. Standing knee deep in amongst the weeds trying to tempt a mullet that were swirling about the place when a seal decides to charge into the shallows sending mullet jumping everywhere, I took a hefty clout to the back of the head from one of them.

I didn't know seals gives head buts when they are upset.

There's always
Worthing Pier - free.
The World's shortest pier - Bogner Regis - free.
Or Wigin Pier?? Perhaps
I have fished Worthing Pier way back in the 70's used to get bait at Denmans, apparently Prime angling are near the pier nowadays.
Haven't tried Bognor pier when the tides out ;)
Wigin pier is one heck of a walk.
I wonder whether the east arm at Newhaven Harbour is still accessible ? Used to be good fishing way back when.
