Hi Gents and any ladies,
I arrived at the carpark and walked out, it was a beautyful day so I enjoyed the stroll through the dunes and was pleasantly suprised when I reached the beach to find a half desent surf running, this was not forecast just like the wind which was was a lot stronger than it was supposed to be .

My second rods bait hit the water bang on 12 oclock. The rod tips were being buffed by the wind and the bouncy surf so small bites were going to be difficult to spot. The fist fish came ashore at 12.30 a small bass probably about 6 oz. I didn't see the bite and was unaware of him as I brought him in, as there was a lump of weed covering him. The bright sunshine had been replaced by high grey cloud which I thought might improve my chance of a fish or two. The wind had also picked up which ment I stayed closer to my rods than usuall, just in case they were blown over.

I persevered varying the baits, varring the distance. At low water a large gulley showed itself, I proceded to fish into it, I tried casting into it, tried casting over the sand bank behind it, but to no avail.

The only positive for me was the my new rod the TTSM LD, looks like it is just what I've been searching for. A rod with a senative tip, a forgiving mid section for preserving soft baits and a more steely but section for when a few extra yards are required.

A testing few hours but still very enjoyable , get out there gents and enjoy the fishing.
