So I'm thinking about buying a couple of blanks to build my own beach rods.

I'm tempted by the harrison p2 blanks as I love harrison carp and specialist blanks.

The rods I currently own and plan to sell have glass tips.

I was just wondering if there were any downsides to carbon tips and braided mainline?

The other blanks I have my eye on are the m4gt but they are very expensive blanks and if the spigots are anything like my century I don't want the hassle.

Not that I often use braid, but I find carbon tips feel super stiff and the whole experience unpleasant.
Carbon=mono
Glass=mono and braid.

Just my personal experience.

I had a pair of P2s and m4gts and you are talking about rods with very different characteristics..... make sure you try both.
The zip is very tippy the P2 is much more a through action.

Which would you say was the most user friendly casting wise?

I would consider going back to mono tbh! I feel like I missed so many fish recently on braid
