up until about 6 months ago i was using a friends rod's, reels ect, i have recently started to get my own, i now have a seat box, 2 rod's,
a penn prevail 111 LE SURF and a daiwa sea hunter Z SURF. both are 14 foot.
with a penn surfblaster 3, which i'm not to keen on, when winding in the handle unscrew's, this will be a spare reel.
i have also purchased 2 okuma surf 8k's, for the money they are a great reel.

Nice rods Alan. I've got a couple of Surfblasters and like them. Never had an issue with the handle coming loose. .
Okuma reels are pretty good, and good value for money - I've got one of their 5000 series Baitrunners.
