Ben and I decided to try for estuary fish on Friday fish flood up from low , we had a hour to wait for the water to appear , it was a spring tide so the tide had gone out a long way , on the way there I had bought some white bread from the coop , they only had their own brand cheap white , it was rubbish even the mullet and the gulls did not like it , it was dry and crumbly so it wouldn’t go on the hook properly so I give up on catching a mullet , there were plenty around . To say the fishing was slow was a understatement, still I had 3 small bass , Ben had a small one and he was chuffed because he caught his first ever flounder , but it was a beautiful afternoon on a nice quite estuary away from the emmets .
