South West Friday night catch report

Hi everyone ,
This is my Friday night catch report .
I met up with bananas,Tatunkajoe and rock marks at a local beach .
I was the first one there at 4pm low water , I soon had 2 rods out one with a 2 hook rig with worm on and one with mackerel on , well it was only a few minutes until fish on a small pout on the top hook so I recast with the pout still firmly hooked and fresh worm on the bottom hook , then tat turned up shortly followed by rock marks , with bananas bringing up the rear ,by then I had caught a few small pout a sizeable poor cod some whiting , a dogfish and a conger , so I thought we were in for a good evening .
we all caught fish not sure what everyone else caught due to social distance etc but we all caught fish , rock marks had a nice pout one and a half pound .I packed up at high water after fishing the flood up , which was now 10pm , I left the younger guys to it .tats dog Burt was pinching our fish again ??

Yes you are right he runs up and down the beach when he sees someone catch a fish he is right there . A lovely friendly dog though .?

Was a nice night to meet up again, took a while for the fish to start showing, we all had the same species out but nothing of size, or was it burt magically putting the same fish by our boxes through out the night

Shame the fishing was crappy but a good crack ere cfish burst greatest moment was earlier this year some noddy was feathering and landed a couple of macs he unhooked them standing there looking pleased with himself when Burt walked up and stole one his face was a picture ?I did apologise and return it tho ?

Yeah that’s one thing I jumped on quite quickly he never goes near bait and in the past if he did I’d just lower my voice and he’d know he was doing wrong . His best trick is he will go and retrieve doggy’s that get washed up he did try picking up a 6 lb hound once and got tail slapped so won’t go near them or straps just admires from a distance great little fishing mutt

Exactly what what I've been doing with the little fella,soon as my back is turned suddenly as if by magic squid gone and he's licking his lips looking all very innocent..trouble is I can't pre-bait rigs and leave them hanging with a pair of hooks in,until he learns..also wanting to retrieve the throwbacks though he met his match with a large Conger a few weeks ago ? all said 5 months old he's doing well

That brings back memories of my jack,she would do exactly the same,a fishing trip for her was how many rats she could kill on these b.c rock marks..
